Vision Therapy

Vision therapy is an individualized Supervised, non surgical treatment program designed to correct eye movements and visual motor deficiencies. Vision therapy include procedures designed to enhance the brain ability to control. A type of physical therapy for the eyes and brain, is a highly effective non-surgical treatment for many common visual problems such as:

WHAT IS AMBLYOPIA (LAZY EYE)?

Amblyopia, commonly known as LAZY EYE, is the eye condition noted by reduced vision not corrected by glasses, contact lenses and surgery.

CAUSES OF LAZY EYE

Anything that interferes with clear vision in either eye during the critical period (BIRTH TO 6 YEARS OF AGE) can cause lazy eye.
The most common causes of lazy eye are

  • Constant strabismus (Constant turn of one eye).
  • Anisometropia (Different vision / Prescription in each eye)
  • Blockage of an eye due to cataract, Trauma, Lid droops etc.

SIGNS THAT A CHILD MAY HAVE VISION PROBLEMS INCLUDE

  • Constant Eye Rubbing
  •  Squinting
